Yet another book that captured me.
There are some books you read and know, it will forever be in your head. This is one of those books.
I was told Colleen Hoover is an amazing writer. That her writing is breath taking. This is the first book by Colleen I have read and all this is true and so much more.
The storyline is your average boy saves girl. Boy and girl fall in love but boy has girlfriend. Yet its not.
Sydney sits on her porch and listens to this mysterious boy......Ridge.......play his guitar every night at 8 pm. Ridge sees her singing along. Lyrics he didn't make up and he needs them. What does any sane person do. Write on a piece of paper their number telling the person to text them. You have a question.
Luck for Ridge, Sydney does. Sydney sends Ridge lyrics that Ridge loves. He thinks they are amazing. Though they didn't help him through his writing block they did however, find him his angel sent to earth just for him.
Sydney is left in the dark for a week, when she finally gets a response. Ridge thanks Sydney, as well as drops the bomb that her boyfriend is cheating on her. One birthday hour later, a rain down pour, loosing her purse, and many tears later, Sydney ends up at Ridge's apartment.
We find out more about Ridge and it defines him.
Slowly Ridge and Sydney fall in love. But how does that work when Ridge is taken by his long lasting girl he says he will never leave.
As much as my fingers want to keep going and spoil the crap out of you I wont. Maybe...this sounds amazing. Maybe.....it doesn't sound interesting. Either way the writing is the most beautiful thing I have ever read. Simply a master piece.
Maybe.....you should go pick it up right now......just sayin.
